Welcome, I am Ian Scott owner of Mortgages for Homes, an independent mortgage and protection adviser located in South Benfleet, Essex.

I give friendly, ethical and unbiased mortgage and protection advice you can trust. Unlike many mortgage brokers, I do not charge a broker’s fee for my services and I guarantee to find you the right mortgage deal to suit your circumstances.

I will be by your side from the beginning to the end of the process, and will always be available to answers your questions and concerns as I understand how daunting this process can be for clients.

Firstly, I will find out about you and your needs by undertaking an interview which will include a full assessment of your circumstances and completion of a fact find which will allow me to build a picture of your situation.

Once I have collated all of the required information, I will research the mortgage market and compare the different mortgage types and rates available to find the right mortgage deal to suit your individual circumstances. Once this has been obtained, I will then present to you my recommendations on all the relevant products and policies.

I will fully explain the recommended mortgage products to you in detail and once you are happy to proceed, I will do all the work to submit the application and complete the required paperwork.

I will make regular contact with the lender and your solicitor throughout the process and manage the case through to completion.

Once the process has completed, I will monitor your mortgage rate and contact you when your deal is coming to an end to allow us to find you the most suitable renewal rate.

This partnership gives me whole of market broker status and the ability to offer advice on a wide range of specialist mortgage, protection and equity release products allowing me to offer my clients the right mortgage deals possible. I have access to over 90 of the leading banks, building societies, insurance companies and specialist lenders.

Mortgage for Homes was originally established in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex by Richard Day in 1999. Richard successfully built the business and reputation over a number of years until he was involved in a serious road accident, which meant he was unable to continue working. Richard’s principle was always to give his customers the same advice he would give himself and his family, today I run the business following these same principles.
